FORGED MEN'S CONFERENCE

FORGED is an event where men can gather with other men so that we might be FORGED into the men God designed us and desires us to be. We have a lineup of great speakers that God is using across the country and around the world to inspire and motivate men to live out God’s view of manhood and be the best husbands, fathers, and leaders God has called us to be. Bring your friends. Bring your sons ages 12 and up, and be sure to join us April 12-13, 2024.

Speakers

Johnny Hunt

Hunt served as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Woodstock for 33 years. He also served at Lavonia Baptist Church in Mooresboro, North Carolina, Falls Baptist Church in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and his home church, Longleaf Baptist Church in Wilmington, North Carolina. In addition to his leadership in the Baptist community, Hunt has authored several books on Christian living and ministry, including “From the Poolroom to the Pulpit”, “How to Become an Effective Leader”, and others.

Jimmy Houston

Houston is actively involved in Midway Hill Baptist Church near Sulphur, Oklahoma, where he serves as a deacon. Despite facing challenges like his wife’s recovery from a major brain bleed in 2021, the Houston family relies on their Christian faith for support. Jimmy incorporates his beliefs into his writings, including books like "Hooked for Life" and "The Reel Line," offering spiritual lessons drawn from his fishing experiences. Additionally, he has written a daily devotional, "Catch of the Day," offering reflections and teachings related to fishing and the outdoors.

J.C. Watts

Watts served as youth pastor for Sunnylane Baptist Church in Del City before becoming the first African American elected to a statewide office when he ran for a seat on the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. In 1994, he was elected to serve the 4th Congressional District of Oklahoma in the United States House of Representatives and four years later was elected by his peers to serve as chairman of the Republican Conference. Throughout his political career, he has emphasized the role of faith in his personal and professional life, emphasizing its significance in shaping his principles and guiding his actions.

Bubba Burcham

Bubba Burcham is husband to Miranda, father of 5 children, Bronson, Brelee, Braxton, Brock, and Bram; former high school math teacher and Head Football Coach at Coweta High School (2008-2014), team captain of the 2000 OU National Championship football team. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors in Math Education and a Masters in Human Relations. He is a member of the Community Baptist Church in Coweta.

Worship Leader - Ben Scroggs

Ben Scroggs is a singer-songwriter from Olive, OK. Many of Ben’s songs through the years have reached the gospel music charts, his highest being “No Back Roads to Heaven” reaching #2 on the Christian country music charts. Ben also has been awarded the Songwriter of the Year from  CCM Now. For the last 11 years, Ben has been the lead pastor of Freedom Church in Sapulpa, OK. Ben and his wife Katie and sons Jadon and Ethan planted the church in a school gymnasium near Sapulpa in 2013. Ben continues to pastor as well preach revivals, lead worship, and do concerts across the country.
